What do a redneck divorce and a tornado have in common? Either way you're losing the trailer. What do you get when you play a country song backward? You get your truck back, your dog back, and your woman back. And no being born during a hurricane has nothing to do with my chosen profession. However, I was the only baby in the hospital not named Don, Donald, or Donna.

Never heard one myself (thank God!), but I've heard that freight train description before. I think mobile home parks and airports are tornado magnets. The nice thing about hurricanes compared to tornadoes is that you have warning of the hurricane and can get the heck out of the way! Although as a Florida native, I can't say that I ever have evacuated for a hurricane. I was even born during a hurricane. (That's no joke. I really was.)

If it were appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court on a question of Federal law, and if that Federal law preempted all state laws to the contrary, then it might be applicable everywhere in the U.S. However, this case appears to have been decided on questions of California law applicable only in California and Federal law.

Well, actually..... One famously liberal Federal Circuit Court of Appeal (i.e., the 9th Circuit) has ruled that under California law the arbitration clause is unconscionable and that this result is not preempted by Federal law. Whether the same result would be reached in local state courts or even in other Federal Circuits remains to be seen. The 9th Circuits rulings are binding in Federal courts in the 9th Circuit. They aren't necessarily binding elsewhere.
